Delete app data (in-app)

You can delete TeachVault's local database records, TeachVault-managed student photos, and TeachVault-managed attendance-evidence photos from within the app:

Open TeachVault
Go to Settings
Scroll to Advanced Data Control
Tap Clear Local Records & Photos and confirm

What gets deleted

All classes, subjects, and schedules
All students, roll numbers, and contact information
All attendance records and session history
Student tags (Repeater, D2D, Slow Learner)
Representative badges (CR, LR)
Local device-binding records (for QR attendance)
TeachVault-managed student photos
TeachVault-managed attendance-evidence photos
Notes and metadata

Outside this in-app action: Exported reports, other imported/document files, and app preferences remain until you delete or reset them separately. Android Clear storage or deleting the iOS app removes the app container more broadly.

Delete app data (device settings)

You can also delete TeachVault data by removing the app or clearing storage:

Android: Settings → Apps → TeachVault → Storage → Clear storage

iOS: Delete the app (this removes all local app data from the device)

⚠️ Cloud backups: If you enabled optional cloud backup/sync, deleting local data does not automatically delete backups stored in your cloud accounts (Google Drive, iCloud). To delete cloud backups:

Open Settings → Backup & Restore → Backup History to review TeachVault backup history
Delete provider copies using the controls in your Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, Files, or other provider account

Recycle Bin

TeachVault has a Recycle Bin feature that temporarily retains deleted items:

Free users: Deleted items retained for 7 days
Pro users: Deleted items retained for 60 days

To permanently delete items from Recycle Bin:

Go to Settings → Recycle Bin
Open the individual item you want to remove
Choose Delete Forever
